Choose from two premium wood species
Alaskan yellow cedar – Most attractive wood
EroVista light poles are manufactured using naturally renewable and abundant Alaskan yellow cedar which is considered one of America’s most durable and attractive softwood species available. For decades, Alaskan yellow cedar has been used as a durable building material because of its strength and proven resistance to insect attack and decay. By nature, Alaskan yellow cedar is beautiful, aromatic, stable, workable, strong, fine textured and straight grained. Alaskan yellow cedar is the ideal choice for those seeking elegance and functionality.
Preservative treated southern yellow pine – Durability meets affordability
Southern yellow pine may be the perfect choice for poles directly embedded into wet or harsh soil conditions or for projects requiring higher fixture heights. Southern yellow pine lumber is known for its remarkable strength and hardness. Prior to lamination, each individual board is preservative treated to meet Use Category UC4B or better, per AWPA UC-1 standard (suitable for ground contact, contact with freshwater and exposure to saltwater splash). EroVista’s southern yellow pine poles are odorless and can be easily stained for a desired color.
Corrosion resistant metal fasteners, anchors and hardware are recommended by the Preservative Treated Wood Industry for use with preservative treated wood.
EroVista commercial series light standards are sold though professional lighting agencies and original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
